*JOB SUMMARY: *
Camp Counselors are the primary caregivers for camp participants.
The counselor is responsible for carrying out and overseeing activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.
*PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * * Assist with the direction and organization of campers in their camper group within activities and throughout the camp in order to meet the intended camper outcomes.
* Apply basic youth development principles in working with campers through communication, relationship development and respect for diversity.
* Assure campers are properly supervised at all times.
* Be aware of and follow all safety guidelines.
* Participate in all required training and certifications in compliance with our standards.
* Communicate clearly, honestly and respectfully with staff, campers and parents.
* Participate and assist with daily activities planned for campers.
* Responsible for assisting with daily planned activities.
* Actively participate and supervise all daily activities as assigned.
* Assist in all program areas such as arts & crafts, swimming, tennis and outdoor activities.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers.
* Provide the daily care of each camper within your supervision including recognition of personal health needs.
* Be alert to campers needs and assist them with personal and/or health problems; discuss with Lead Counselor and/or Camp Director.
* Be alert to equipment and facilities to ensure utilization, proper care and maintenance is adhered to.
* Be a role model to campers in your attitude and behavior.
* Follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures.
* Follow all general camp procedures and practices including sanitation, schedule and sportsmanship.
* Represent the camp when interacting with parents or community members.
* Provide parents appropriate feedback and information as needed for their campers to have a successful camp experience.
* Follow safety and security protocols when campers are in public while presenting a positive image of the camp.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: * * Must be 18 years of age * Must become CPR/First Aid certified * Ability to interact and communicate with all age levels * Must be available to June 3, 2024 - August 16, 2024 *OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* * Understanding of the developmental needs of youth * Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner * Demonstrated knowledge and skill in camp programs * Excellent communication skills * Outgoing, positive attitude and strong work ethic *WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:* * Ability to stand for prolonged periods, bending, stooping, walking long distances, hiking, climbing and stretching.
Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and camp activities.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Must be able to navigate all areas of the facility without assistance and utilize all necessary equipment to perform the duties of the job.
* Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity.
* Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring First Aid.
Must be able to assist campers in an emergency.
(fire, evacuation, illness or injury) * Possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
*Ascension Genesys Health Club* *Job Description* *Job Title: Evening Spin Instructor* *Supervisor: Group Fitness Manager * *Updated: 4/2024* Duties: - Provide safe and fun instruction for an Indoor Cycling class (must have current certification, we are currently looking for a weeknight evening instructor).
- Demonstrate proper techniques and form to ensure safety and maximize results.
- Motivate and inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals.
- Report attendance numbers within one hour after class via Group Ex Pro app.
Skills: - Strong knowledge and experience in group fitness instruction.
- Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate exercise techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with participants.
- Motivated and passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals.
\*Position includes complimentary Club Membership! Job Type: Part-time Pay: $10.
