Position Details: SOCIAL WORKERS in the GENESEE COUNTY AREA! Do you live in the Flint area? We are on the hunt for a DEDICATED, passionate leader to join our FOSTER CARE TEAM! If you have THREE YEARS of work experience in child welfare and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in SOCIAL WORK, or other related human services field, we want to talk to you TODAY! This SUPERVISOR of FOSTER CARE supports a team of up to five case workers in foster care and ILP and a case aide.
Help support and develop our team as they provide services to children and families in and around Genesee County.

5% of gross income at 133% Great Personal Time Off (PTO) accruals Awesome Employee Discounts Plus, many more benefits Duties And Responsibilities: Job Summary Provides support and leadership for case managers/case assistant teams that provide services for children and families on an assigned caseload in accordance with all applicable contractual and regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Duties and Responsibilities Provide weekly individual and team supervision to staff.
Lead team meetings and train and support staff.
Oversee assignment and placement of children.
Work with licensing supervisor to ensure compliance with child placing agency rules and liaison with family court, DHS and other community systems.
Provide a range of case management services, including social casework, counseling and treatment of clients, and community referral.
Support, direction and leadership for case managers.
Provide supportive casework services to child, birth family and foster family during initial placement and replacement.
Prepare and attend all scheduled court hearings on assigned caseload.
Ensure accurate and completion of all reports and assignments required by the organization or other agencies.
Qualifications: Job Qualifications Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification Master degree in Human Behavioral Science field preferred; or a Bachelor degree in a Human Behavioral Science field required.
Licensed by the State of Michigan as a social worker preferred.
Experience Three years’ work experience in a child welfare agency, a child caring institution, or an agency performing a child welfare function required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Advanced knowledge of social service administration/management, and ability to use group dynamics and processes.
Ability to be culturally sensitive and relate to multi-problem families Ability to develop outcomes measurements related to programs activities and services.
Ability to complete short and long-term goal setting.
Ability to work in team relationships with other professionals from various community groups, agencies and disciplines.
Ability to advocate for staff and program needs within the organization and inter-organization systems.
Ability to speak, read and write fluent English.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Advanced ability to read, write and interpret legal and technical documents.
Ability to understand, analyze and interpret data and financial reports and effect corrective action.
Ability to communicate expectations clearly and to effectively utilize a teamwork approach with staff at all levels.
Ability to utilize basic word processing and specific computer software applications.
Additional Work Requirements Required to participate in a system of 24 hour availability to clients, foster and adoptive parents, and staff, as required.
Unrestricted, valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served; proof of current automobile insurance.
