Description: General Summary of Duties: Plans, organizes, coordinates, and ensures delivery of services at the office and supervises office employees.
Responsible to develop new and existing business relationships that result in new members and increased product penetration among existing members.
Networks and builds relationships within the community and with Indirect Lending dealerships.
Essential Functions and Other Responsibilities: Ensures prompt and courteous service is provided to all internal and external members/customers.
Conducts work in a safe and healthful manner.
Maintains current knowledge of technology necessary to function in position; continuing education as needed.
Networks with other financial institutions to stay abreast of current trends.
As a member of the management team, submits recommendations for changes in policies and procedures, and assists in administrative matters which effect the organization as a whole.
Exhibits leadership to the staff and creates an atmosphere conducive to quality performance and morale.
Supports the efforts of all staff in the maintenance of an atmosphere of service excellence.
Provides supervision, training, day-to-day reinforcement, coaching, and support for the staff.
Evaluates assigned staff on an annual basis.
Ensures the staff is meeting their responsibilities.
Ensures compliance in accordance with the Union contract.
Maintains knowledge of all credit union services and the ability to service members in any of those areas.
Approves loans within authority.
Serves as assistant Security Officer; ensures adherence to all applicable security policies by office staff; and ensures security systems are always operational through regularly scheduled inspections and checklists.
Ensures all documentation for the area of responsibility is properly maintained.
Continually analyzes procedures; adds, deletes, or modifies as necessary within authority.
Ensures appropriate staff is kept informed of new procedures and authorizes exceptions when circumstances warrant.
Performs spot checks in area of responsibility to ensure policies/procedures are adhered to.
Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of credit union policies/procedures that are necessary for performing job duties, including but not limited to Negotiable Instrument Reference & Guidelines, BSA, and OFAC.
Conducts research designed to decrease cost and increase efficiency and effectiveness of the office.
Ensures internal/external maintenance of facility is in good repair and makes suggestions for improvement.
Conducts community relations; networks, and maintains good working relationship with outside contacts and Indirect Lending dealers.
Participates in the development of and introduction of new products and services.
Tracks and reports business development activities.
Analyzes opportunities to increase membership base by researching the market.
Employs various methods to build relationships and credit union members; including but not limited to: in person contacts, off site presentations, special customized promotions, participation in special events/programs.
Represents the credit union at various events such as community events, trade shows, business and social events; performs public relations at same when necessary.
Provides and/or coordinates meetings with various groups to explain credit union services, answer questions, and coordinate enrollment of members.
Works closely with staff to develop leads and enhance relationships with existing business partners.
Seeks out and acts on leads for new business partners.
Assists in the proper implementation and effective administration of policies and procedures adopted by the Board related to business development.
Keeps Marketing informed of all community relations projects and business development efforts for proper coordinating and handling with the Marketing and/or Public Relations firm.
Keeps VP Sales and Service informed of any challenges within area of responsibility.

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Education: A four year college degree in Business Management or relevant field.
Experience: Three to five years of member/customer relations experience at a credit union or similar environment.
