Briarwood Nursing and Rehab is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director.
The Maintenance Directors main role is to ensure compliance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility and assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.
Maintenance Director Responsibilities:
Supervise the day-to-day maintenance functions of assigned personnel and ensure schedules are followed.
Develop procedures for compliance within the facility
Coordinate daily maintenance services with Nursing Services to ensure as little disruption to patient space as possible while still maintaining the space.
Perform administrative requirements (i.
e.
, completing necessary forms, reports, etc.
)
Submit accident/incident reports to the Administrator on the shift in which they occurred.
Assist in the orientation and training of maintenance personnel.
Participate and assist in department studies and projects as directed.
Take lead of the Fire protection and prevention programs
Maintenance Director Qualifications:
Must have thorough knowledge of HVAC repair, carpentry, electrical theory, plumbing, and low voltage alarm systems
Management experience preferred
Team player and problem solver
Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.
Maintenance Director Physical Demands:
Works throughout the facility (i.
e.
, power rooms, resident rooms, therapy rooms, dietary, etc.
)
Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays, when necessary.
May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
, including the potential exposure to the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.
Will be required to perform the duties of maintenance staff.
